A look at how to watch Saturday night’s game between the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

On Saturday afternoon, the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Iowa Hawkeyes will battle in a Big Ten conference game. Illinois will be hosting this matchup at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, IL.

Illinois has had a rough season under first-year head coach Lovie Smith. The task of turning this program around was going to be difficult, but 2016 has proved to be yet another disastrous year. While they have three wins, these came against Murray State, an awful Rutgers team, and the disappointing Michigan State Spartans.

Last Saturday, the Fighting Illini were mauled by Wisconsin, 48-3, the school’s worst loss of the season. They only got 79 passing yards out of quarterback Jeff George Jr., who also threw four interceptions.

As for Iowa, they are coming off an upset win over Michigan, who had been unbeaten and near the top of the College Football Playoff rankings. This victory came via a game-winning field goal as time expired.

The Hawkeyes started the season well with winning three of their first four games, but started to drop off in conference play. This includes losses to Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Penn State, before upsetting the Wolverines. In the midst of this, Iowa lost to North Dakota State, one of the best Division II teams.
