A.J. Green carted off field in game vs. Bills (Video)

Early in the first quarter of the Cincinnati Bengals’ home game versus the Buffalo Bills, Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green was carted off with a leg injury.
2016 has not been kind to the stumbling Cincinnati Bengals. On Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, it seems that the Bengals have suffered a loss to their best player wide receiver A.J. Green.
Early in the first quarter at Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Green had to be carted off the field after suffering a leg injury. If Green were to miss any time for the Bengals, it would almost certainly ruin Cincinnati’s slim AFC Playoffs chances.
Cincinnati is in third place in the pitiful AFC North, a division where the 5-4 Baltimore Ravens are unspectacularly leading. Green has been quarterback Andy Dalton’s favorite target since they came into the league together back in 2011.
Dalton has played some great football in 2016, but the rest of his team has stagnated for varying reasons. Injuries have taken their toll on the Bengals, as has seeing former offensive coordinator Hue Jackson leave for the Cleveland Browns head coaching position.
Since the AFC West seems to have possibly three AFC Playoff teams, Cincinnati will have to seemingly win the AFC North to get to the AFC Playoffs for the sixth season in a row. Even if Cincinnati does win the AFC North somehow, the Bengals have never won a playoff game in seven tries under current head coach Marvin Lewis.

One would have to believe that Green would need to come up big on multiple occasions for the Bengals to have a sliver of hope in their AFC Playoff quest. Green is one of the top five wide receivers in football. His ability to go up and get it isn’t rivaled in the NFL. How would a hamstring injury impact his elite leaping ability?
