The New England Patriots bounced back with a win on the road over the San Francisco 49ers.

17. 42. 30. 47. Final

The New England Patriots did exactly what they had to do on Sunday. With the team coming off of a tough loss against Seattle last week, they had to rebound against the struggling San Francisco 49ers on the road.

It took them a little while to completely pull away however. Early on, it looked the game was well on the way to a New England blowout. With the Patriots ups 13-3, it sure looked the game was going in that direction.

However, Colin Kaepernick locked in and found Vance McDonald for a huge touchdown to pull the 49ers within a field goal. Much like last week, San Francisco started to show a little fight against a tough opponent.

In the second half, Tom Brady put his foot down on a big homecoming for him. Brady would lead the team down the field and find Danny Amendola for the touchdown to extend his team’s lead yet again.

He wasn’t done yet either. Malcolm Mitchell took a pass 56 yards and the Patriots finally put this one away to go up 20. The 49ers would get back one of their own, but four touchdowns from Brady was just too much to handle for a struggling team.

Three Stars

3. LeGarrette Blount

Although he didn’t have any touchdowns on the day, Blount was a huge factor with 124 rushing yards. He helped open up the passing game with his play.

2. Julian Edelman

In his own homecoming, Edelman had 77 yards and a touchdown. He picked up the big points early to help establish a lead.

1. Tom Brady

Returning home to take on the 49ers, Tom Brady put on an absolute show. He threw for four touchdowns and continued to make his mark on the MVP race.
