ESPN College Pick Em Picks Week 13

We only have two weeks left in ESPN College Pick Em. Where did the season go? Some of us are still in contention in our pools. Some can only play spoiler. But all of us are still looking for bragging rights of some sort!

More from College Football Odds

Last week I ended up with 44 out of 55 points. That tied me for the most points in the Fantasy CPR Readers group. I still only moved up one slot to sixth place though, despite the good week. The top five tightened up a lot. Now there is only 20 points separating first from fifth place!

I need another great week to gain some more ground. I will have to get aggressive with my picks again, and I will have to hit my top five point values again, which I did last week.

This is Thanksgiving week. You know, the week that Texas is supposed to play Texas A&M. The week that Oklahoma is supposed to play Nebraska. Try as I may, Nebraska against Iowa and Bedlam just aren’t quite the same.

Here are the ESPN College Pick Em Picks for Week 13. They are in order from least confident (1) to most (10) for those of you that play the confidence version of the game like I do.

(1) Florida State over Florida:

Technically, as the rankings go, this would count as an upset. Honestly, I expect a really good game, but I like Dalvin Cook more than anyone Florida has to offer even though the Gators have a better defense.

(2) Colorado over Utah:

I should have more confidence in this considering that the Ralphies have passed the tough Pac 12 tests. The thing is, Utah has a really good defense. Colorado could lose this if they can’t run the ball, and that is a very real possibility.

(3) Ohio State over Michigan:

John O’Korn is a good story, but he isn’t beating Ohio State. Beating Indiana is one thing. Coming out on top against this defense is an entirely different animal. This will be a close game, but Michigan will make a critical mistake late.

(4) Oregon over Oregon State:

This game looks like a Civil War game that the Beavers could take, but it’s tough to pick against Duck U after last week. Oregon can only play spoiler at this point. Oh, who am I kidding? We all know that a handful of 5-7 teams will make a bowl again this year, unfortunately.

(5) West Virginia over Iowa State:

Iowa State has played well at home lately. They may get froggy and win this, but the smart money is still on the boys in yellow and blue.

(6) Alabama over Auburn:

Yes, strange things happen in the Iron Bowl. However, it isn’t usually when Auburn has a QB who can’t hit receivers and star RB Kamryn Pettway isn’t at 100 percent. Auburn’s defense will keep this closer than Vegas thinks, but Bama still wins.

(7) Wyoming over New Mexico:

New Mexico is kind of a fun team to watch on offense, but their defense is a full blown disaster. This could be a high scoring game, but the Cowboys will win by double digits.

(8) Louisville over Kentucky:

Yes, Kentucky is a SEC school. Yes, Louisville has struggled lately. Yes, Louisville still blows them out. The talent level is nowhere near the same.

(9) Clemson over South Carolina:

The Gamecocks are going to be a good team probably as soon as next year, however, they are still starting a 17 year old true freshman in one of the most hostile environments around. The Cocks may hang around for a while, but they aren’t going to win this.

(10) USC over Notre Dame:

This USC team is better than any they have had in the last decade. The Irish have the worst team they have had in the last decade. You do the math. The result is the same.
