Five reasons Buffalo Bills will make the playoffs
2. Schedule
The Bills schedule down the stretch may be playing into their hands. Four of their final six games this season are at home, and one of their road games comes in week 17 against the lowly New York Jets.
In week 12, they face the Jacksonville Jaguars who are a complete mess of a team right now. They then head to Oakland to face the Raiders in what is their most likely game to lose the rest of the way. However, from that point, they could be 6-6 with four very winnable games on the slate.
The Steelers will be a tough task in week 14, but they are at home in December in Buffalo. That typically means snow, and typically means a game in which they need to run the ball and stop the run, two things they have doing well lately. Then they get the Browns on a mission to go winless, and the Dolphins, a team used to the sun and warmth, heading to Buffalo for a late December matchup.
This is a team peaking at the right time, and playing the type of football to win at home in December. They have matchups that give them a solid chance to get to nine or 10 wins on the season. That could be enough to get themselves into the wild card and is a major reason not to discount this team yet.
