The UNC Asheville Bulldogs take aim at the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday at Allen Fieldhouse. Here’s all the info you need to watch online.

Despite their big-time talent, the Kansas Jayhawks haven’t been running rampant out of the gate in the 2016-17 college basketball season. They have freshmen and veterans alike to lead the way, but still seem a bit off. Before their schedule gets really tough, they’ll need to toughen up and start showing consistency. That’ll be the aim on Friday night at Allen Fieldhouse as they welcome the UNC Asheville Bulldogs to town.

Kansas is certainly not short on talent. Senior guard Frank Mason III, sophomore guard Devonte’ Graham, and prized freshman guard/forward Josh Jackson lead the way for this team. Each is capable of taking over, but the bigger key is for them to gel nightly. That hasn’t been a night-to-night thing just yet, but that’s what games like Friday’s are all about.

UNC Asheville has a veteran team out of the SOCON that could compete for the conference crown. Ahmad Thomas drives this team forward, leading them in points and rebounds. He’ll have his hands full against Kansas, but you can’t rule out an upset with a veteran team like this.

Though they have one loss, no one is mistaking for Kansas for anything less than highly dangerous and talented. Bill Self’s team can be a contender if they can keep building. UNC Asheville will fight hard, but this will be another chance for the Jayhawks to hit their stride early in the year.
