As ESPN College GameDay gears everyone up for Ohio State vs Michigan, they should have one of the biggest guest pickers ever on Saturday.

Nothing quite captures the essence like Ohio State vs. Michigan and waking up to ESPN College GameDay. Those are two of the greatest traditions  that college football has for the fans. On Saturday in Week 13 of the 2016 season, though, the Buckeyes get the goods and actually see the pair of traditions combined. That’s right; College GameDay is in Columbus for The Game.

There’s obviously always a ton on the line for this game at the tail-end of this season. Not only is it the tradition search for bragging rights, but something else is on the line. Coming into Saturday, Ohio State is ranked at No. 2 with Michigan at No. 3. In essence, this game will determine who likely appears in the College Football Playoff and in the Big Ten title game.

With all of this one the line, GameDay needs to have a ringer as their guest picker. Think; who is from Ohio, has been involved with Buckeyes, is in Cleveland, and has the day off on Saturday?

If you thought of Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James, you had the correct answer. By my estimation, nobody can hold a candle to what King James would bring as a guest picker. And if he’s not, it’ll be a major disappointment.

The Cavs played in Cleveland on Friday night (a resounding win) and have an off-day on Saturday. That really starts the reasons as to why he should occupy the seat next to Lee Corso. What’s more, ESPN would be more than grateful to have him at the position.

We shall see if ESPN does the smart thing here at OSU and makes it happen on Saturday. But if they don’t have LeBron James making the guest celebrity picks, they a really dropped the ball during rivarly week.
