The NJIT Highlanders face the Purdue Boilers makers at Mackey Arena on Saturday. Here’s all the info you need to watch online.

Through the first couple of weeks in the 2016-17 college basketball season, the Purdue Boilermakers feel like a team not enough people are talking about. They’ve got just one loss on the year right now, and that was a one-possession defeat at the hands of Villanova, the defending national champs. Now they’ll be at home in Mackey Arena on Saturday with the hope of staying focused and beating the NJIT Highlanders.

Isaac Haas and Caleb Swanigan have both been big-time for Purdue this early in the season. Both players are averaging 18.2 points per contest through the Boilermakers’ first five games. However, it could be key all-around contributions from Dakota Mathias that prove to be critical. He does a little of everything and that’s what Purdue will be looking for.

NJIT is led by Damon Lynn, who has been one of the best pure scorers in the country early on. The senior guard can score from all over the floor, but he’ll need to be the catalyst if the Highlanders are to catch Purdue off guard to pull off the upset.

Purdue has a huge matchup against Louisville looming in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge next week. That’s obviously going to be huge for them then, but they can’t afford to be looking ahead to that matchup on Saturday. They have to remain focused and get past the task at hand ultimately.
