Chelsea maintained the Premier League lead with a hard-fought 2-1 win against Tottenham at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea came from behind to beat Tottenham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday to maintain their one point lead at the top of the Premier League. The Blues, who have been revitalized under Antonio Conte, may now be the favorites for the title after a statement win against the league’s last unbeaten side.

Tottenham remain fifth after their loss, but could slip four points off of the top four if Arsenal are able to beat Bournemouth on Sunday.

Liverpool looked set for a disappointing result at home to Sunderland before Divock Origi, who replaced an injured Philippe Coutinho in the first half, broke the deadlock in the 75th minute. The win keeps the Reds in second place, ahead of Manchester City on goal difference.

City faced Burnley in the early kickoff, coming back to win 2-1 thanks to two Sergio Aguero goals. It wasn’t the most complete performance, and Burnley could quite easily have taken something from the match, but given City’s midweek European exploits it was a solid win.

The match of the day came at the other end of the table, as Swansea beat Crystal Palace 5-4 at the Liberty Stadium to give Bob Bradley his first win as a Premier League manager. The Swans were 3-1 up with 16 minutes remaining before falling behind 4-3.

Palace were in a forgiving mood, however, and surrendered two sloppy goals of their own to hand Swansea the win. The three points moved Swansea above Sunderland into 19th place, while Palace are now level on points with 18th-place Hull.
