Pistons’ center Andre Drummond got ejected for throwing an elbow and his reaction was priceless.

It’s pretty obvious that NBA referees miss a lot of calls these days. However, they are strict when it comes to Flagrant 1 and Flagrant 2 fouls, which Detroit Pistons’ center Andre Drummond committed on Tuesday night and was ejected for.

The big man is one of the best at what he does in the league, but he was ejected on Tuesday night for throwing an ‘elbow’ to the back of the head to Roy Hibbert. He was being physical in the post when it looked like his arm slipped and nicked the back of Hibbert’s head, maybe.

The refs reviewed it and ejected Drummond for the play despite it being questionable, at best.

Drummond’s reaction to getting ejected was priceless. I mean, you can’t be a much better sport than that. Knowing that you had no intention of hitting a guy in the back of the head on a rebound and getting the wrong end of the rule book would fire some guys up, but not Andre.

The big man just laughed, and clapped his way into the locker room. He’s not one to get all fired up over a questionable call and he showed some class on this reaction.

The Pistons ended up winning the game by double-digits, but the ejection to Drummond had to have some people, namely Stan Van Gundy, scratching their heads. Detroit has been one of the best turnaround teams in the league this season and it will need its big man to stay away from these kind of fouls.

Drummond is averaging 14.6 points and 13.4 rebounds per game this season and he is proving himself to be a dominant presence on the boards and, after this ejection, a good sport. Way to clap it off, Andre.
