After last night’s wild scramble at the buzzer to get around a rare cancelation, tonight’s DFS fantasy basketball should be a little bit more “back to normal.” On this Thursday, there are a dozen teams scheduled to be in action giving us a solid pool of players for today’s DraftKings daily picks. If you’re planning on getting a roster together for tonight’s competition, make sure to check back just before tipoff since last night was a great reminder that lots can change between whenever you make your lineup and when the first games tip off.

More from DraftKings

Tonight’s action gets underway at 7:00 PM ET when rosters lock in place as the  Mavericks visit the Hornets in Charlotte. The Bucks look to build on their big win in Cleveland as they visit Brooklyn at 7:30 followed at 8:00 by the Cavs trying to bounce back from that loss as they face the Clippers. Also at 8:00, the Magic visit Memphis in a matchup full of value since both teams limp in with less-than-full rosters. At 9:00, the Jazz host the also-ailing Heat, and in the last game of the night James Harden and the Rockets land by the Bay to take on the Warriors. It’s worth noting as you put your lineup together that the Mavs, Grizzlies, and Heat are playing for the second night in a row while the Cavs, Clippers, Rockets, and Magic have another game on the schedule tomorrow (all on the road).

With a dozen teams in action, there are some solid stars and sleepers to consider. I’ve selected my favorite options on the next few slides for today’s DraftKings daily picks. My goal each day is to give you the information you need to build your own customized lineup to get you a win however you participate in DFS contests. In order to help you find what you need, I’ve separated my picks by position and price. You’ll find two slides per position–the first slide will feature the best high-salary options followed by some high-value options which cost less but still offer solid returns. Each slide contains at least two options with extras thrown in where possible.

I rank my picks for each contest using stars after each explanation to show the relative strength of the pick. For a full explanation of the rating system, check out the last slide of this post, but in short, more stars means more confidence (on a point-per-dollar basis). Also on the final slide of the post, you can see how I’m putting together the best of my picks into my personal lineup for today’s competition. I suggest you build your own customized team with the players you like the most, but you’re welcome to check out my lineups and use them as a place to get started.

Just a reminder that each day in my DraftKings daily picks, all salary references and references to “fantasy points” refer to DraftKings pricing and scoring.  If you are looking for similar coverage specifically for FanDuel, check the box above for related posts or find the latest on the fantasy basketball hub.
