Who did Lee Corso select with his headgear pick on College GameDay for Saturday’s game between Wisconsin and Penn State?

On Saturday, Lee Corso and the College GameDay crew are in Indianapolis, IN for the Big Ten Conference Championship game between the Wisconsin Badgers and Penn State Nittany Lions. This game has plenty of implications for both teams as they step into Lucas Oil Stadium.

Coming into this game, Wisconsin is ranked No. 6 and Penn State sits at No. 7 in the College Football Playoff ranking. Usually, it would be that the Big Ten conference champion gets a CFP spot since they won possibly the toughest conference in college football. However, this is no guarantee with Ohio State, who isn’t even in this game, ranked No. 2. Michigan, who lost to OSU last Saturday, is also No. 5. So, two teams who can’t win the conference title seem to stand a better chance of making the CFP than the ones playing the extra game.

This has been something up for debate throughout the last few weeks of the regular season. How would the committee treat the Buckeyes, even with their loss to Penn State? What would it take for the Nittany Lions or Badgers to leapfrog the powerhouse schools? This will all be sorted out after Saturday night’s Big Ten Conference Championship game.

Who would Corso pick between these two Big Ten schools, though? This would be one of his last headgear selections of the season.

This game should be a terrific one, potentially a defensive battle. The winner is far from guaranteed a spot in the CFP, but should get a top bowl game.
