A look at how to watch Saturday afternoon game between the Purdue Boilermakers and the Morehead State Eagles.

On Saturday afternoon, the No. 15 Purdue Boilermakers will take on the Morehead State Eagles. This will take place at Mackey Arena in West Lafayette, IN.

Purdue has had a bit of an up and down year to start the college basketball season. Most of their victories have been by significant margins, with the exception of a game against Georgia State (they trailed going into the half). However, in their only two losses of the season, it has been against ranked teams. First, No. 3 Villanova beat the Boilermakers, 79-76. Most recently, No. 14 Louisville topped them, 71-64. There’s no such thing as a good loss, but going down to tough competition could help an eventual case for Purdue making the NCAA Tournament, if it comes down to it in March.

Against Louisville, Purdue struggling mightily from the field. They shot just 35.8-percent, but also hit 43.5-percent from long distance. 17 turnovers and just two players in double figures did not help either.

To lead the way, though, Caleb Swanigan had 14 points and 11 rebounds. He also turned the ball over six times in the loss to the Cardinals. Overall, the star sophomore has looked terrific through seven games. This includes having a double-double in all but one game, having a 20-20 performance, and averaging 18.1 points and 11.9 rebounds per game.

As we have seen all throughout the early portion of the college basketball season, lesser opponents should be taken seriously; even 2-4 Morehead State. If Fort Wayne can take down Indiana, then there’s at least somewhat of a chance of the Eagles pulling off an upset on Saturday afternoon. It’s not a great one, but it’s possible.
