Arsenal face Basel in the Champions League on Tuesday. Here’s all the info you need to watch the match.

Arsenal travel to Switzerland to face Basel in the Champions League on Tuesday, still hoping to win top spot in Group A. The Gunners trail leaders Paris Saint-Germain, but can still finish first if they beat Basel and PSG fail to win against Ludogorets in the French capital.

You can watch the match on Fox Sports 1, while action will also be streamed live on Fox Soccer 2Go.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and his players can’t control their destiny, but they can at least put pressure on PSG. It will mean winning in Basel, one reason Wenger has already indicated star forward Alexis Sanchez could start.

Sanchez has been in electric form recently, netting a hat-trick in a 5-1 away win over West Ham United in the Premier League. Wenger could rest his talisman, though, knowing PSG are unlikely to stumble against Ludogorets, so it won’t matter if Arsenal win in Basel.

However, the Gunners chief doesn’t sound like he’s ready to leave Sanchez out, per Jeremy Wilson of the Daily Telegraph: “When a guy is in good success and confident, it’s more dangerous to stop him than keep him going.”

One factor that may sway Wenger’s decision is the return of French striker Olivier Giroud. He’s back in the squad at the expense of suspended holding midfielder Francis Coquelin, according to the London Evening Standard‘s James Olley.

Having Giroud available makes it possible for Wenger to rest Sanchez. He could opt for Giroud through the middle, with players such as Theo Walcott and Alex Iwobi flanking him.

No matter which combination Wenger picks in attack, Basel boss Urs Fischer doesn’t sound intimidated by the Gunners. In fact, Fischer has even claimed Arsenal were dominated by West Ham, despite their 5-1 win, per Neil McLeman of the Daily Mirror.

It’s a bold statement, and one ignoring how ruthless Arsenal forwards were on the break. The Gunners dominated the match where it counted, in the final third.

If they can repeat the trick in Basel, Wenger’s men will at least keep the pressure on PSG to avoid a spectacular collapse in their final group game.

Finishing second in the group would once again run the risk of a tough draw in the last 16 for Arsenal. The same fate has conspired to see them eliminated at the first knockout phase in each of the last six seasons.

Yet the Gunners’ fate may be beyond their control based on events in Paris.
