Deshaun Watson made his final case for the Heisman Trophy this past weekend, as the junior quarterback led the Clemson Tigers to their second consecutive ACC championship. With the win, the Tigers became the first team in the last 28 years to win back-to-back titles. For Watson, he registered five touchdowns in the game, three through the air, and two on the ground. He has thrown a touchdown pass in every game this year, and will finish the regular season with 37 TD passes.

It has been a magical two-year run for Watson, who took his team to the National Championship last season. While they ended up losing in a thriller to Alabama, the win enables the Tigers to get another shot in this year’s College Football Playoff. Clemson will take on Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl in a No. 2 vs No. 3 matchup, with the winner going to the big dance.

Fellow ACC quarterback Lamar Jackson has put on an incredible show this season, and he is currently the front-runner to win the Heisman Trophy. However, Watson’s resume is quite impressive as well, and he did lead the Tigers to the conference title. Head coach Dabo Swinney has said this will be it for Watson at Clemson, so expect some big things out of him in the Fiesta Bowl, and possibly beyond.
