A very confident Dallas Cowboys fan already has a Super Bowl LI champions tattoo.

One of the greatest traditions in being a sports fan is prematurely getting a tattoo proclaiming your team as champions. Sure, you might look like an idiot (or be out a few more bucks) if you’re wrong. However, if your bold prediction is correct, you come out looking smart.

A Dallas Cowboys fan, using the team’s 11-game winning streak as motivation, has a tattoo proclaiming the Boys as the Super Bowl LI champions.

There’s some risk in getting such a tattoo. It might look stupid if the team in question doesn’t win. To be fair, Jordan Garnett has every reason to believe Dallas can win the Super Bowl. They are led by an excellent offense. While Dak Prescott has yet to perform in the postseason, there’s no reason to believe he won’t have success. Even if he falters, Dallas has Tony Romo as his backup and rookie sensation Ezekiel Elliott as his running back.

Let’s take a look back at some other bold tattoo predictions from recent years. A bold Cleveland Indians fan got a similar tattoo right before Game 7 of the World Series. Let’s just say he’ll be hearing “3-1 lead” jokes for the duration of his tattoo. Another Cleveland fan looked silly when he got a “Cavaliers NBA Finals Champs” tattoo in 2015. To be fair, he’s probably gotten this adjusted to 2016 by now.

However, the best one in recent years happened in 2016. A Chicago Cubs fan got a World Series Champion tattoo back in May. Such bravery should be celebrated. That’s the reward of getting a champions tattoo and it paying off.

While there is so much risk involved, perhaps the boldness required to get one is what makes fans what they are: fanatics.
