The Louisville football recruiting Twitter sent out a strange tweet endorsing Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers for Heisman over Lamar Jackson.

With only Army and Navy playing in college football this week, there won’t be much action until bowl season officially begins. However, this is always a big week for college football as it’s the week the Heisman Trophy is awarded. The finalists are out and we will know who will take home the illustrious hardware this Saturday.

The favorite going into the event seems to be Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson. His team had a tremendous season and he put up some ridiculous numbers through the air and on the ground with his legs each week.

However, there was a weird Twitter occurrence on Tuesday. With people getting to vote on Twitter for who they would select as Heisman, the Louisville football recruiting Twitter sent out a very weird tweet. They accidentally endorsed Michigan’s Jabrill Peppers. This ended up confusing a lot of followers.

It was clearly an honest mistake from the Twitter account. One has to wonder how they selected the wrong one. The likely answer is that they thought they were choosing Jackson and ended up selecting Peppers.

Nonetheless, it caused quite the stir on Twitter and created for a hilarious moment. It should serve as a reminder that everyone is prone to making mistakes on social media. Even if it means endorsing the wrong player for the Heisman.
