Gone is the league magic from the Leicester City 2015/16 side. But you wouldn’t know that from their Champions League play. Only three wins in 14 matches in the EPL, Leicester currently sit in 15th place following a 2-1 loss to Sunderland during the weekend.

However, in the Champions League, Vardy and company are still flying high from last season’s title run. Four wins and a draw in the first five group play matches has the Foxes top of Group G. Having already clinched the top spot and into the knockout round, the trip to Porto may not see a full strength Leicester side taking the pitch.

As for Porto they currently sit third in the Primeira Liga. Four points off the leaders, Porto have only given up give goals in 12 league matches. Very strong at home, they have yet to lose a match all season at the Estádio do Dragão. 

In fact they’ve only lost twice this season, and one of those came at the hands of Leicester City. In match day two of Group G play, Porto traveled to Leicester and fell 1-0. Topping the group is long gone, but they will be striving to ensure they advance to the knockout stage of the Champions League rather than the Europa league.
