The UConn Huskies face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in Women’s College Basketball action on Wednesday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Thinking about the powerhouses in women’s college basketball, the UConn Huskies and Notre Dame Fighting Irish are surely the two that first pop into your head. Geno Auriema’s Huskies have been unstoppable in recent years, but the Irish have been right on their heels. On Wednesday, these two forces in women’s hoops will clash in South Bend, IN in a matchup between the No. 1 and 2 teams in the country.

UConn suffered an early scare this season, but has since rebounded emphatically. In getting to 7-0, they’ve already notched four wins over ranked opponents, including former No. 2 Baylor. Sophomore forward Napheesa Collier, junior guard Kia Nurse, junior guard Gabby Williams, and freshman guard Crystal Dangerfield off of the bench all pose huge threats when on the floor. They’ll look to rise to the occasion to keep the ridiculous 82-game win-streak alive in a tough road test.

Meanwhile, the Irish haven’t faced near the level of competition as the Huskies, but are perfect nonetheless at 7-0. They do own one victory over a ranked opponent, a victory against Washington. Sophomore guard Arike Ogunbowale is the spark-plug for this Notre Dame team. However, the presence of junior forwards Brianna Turner and Kathryn Westbeld will be huge on the inside where they need to control the glass.

By far the biggest matchup of the women’s hoops season yet will be broadcast on ESPN2. Therefore, live streaming for the game will be available through the WatchESPN service. Access the service online or through the ESPN by logging in with a cable or satellite subscription to watch the stream.
