The Dallas Cowboys travel to MetLife Stadium to face the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football in Week 14. Here’s a preview and a look at the odds.

Sunday Night Football on Dec. 11 will feature an NFC East showdown when the New York Giants (8-4) host the Dallas Cowboys (11-1). Dallas will be looking to all but ensure themselves of not just the NFC East title, but a first-round bye, with a win. Meanwhile, the Giants are looking to put a bit of pressure on their rival and cut their division lead to two games. Should New York win, they will have a tiebreaker over Dallas thanks to a Week 1 victory.

Since the Cowboys’ Week 1 loss to the Giants, they have won 11 straight games. Led by an impressive offense, Dallas is looking to rewrite their label as “chokers”. Despite being America’s Team, they haven’t won more than one playoff game in a single postseason since the 1990s. Their passing attack is led by rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, and their rushing offense is led by rookie sensation Ezekiel Elliott.

Meanwhile, the Giants are coming off a rough loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 13. While Dallas relies on its offense, New York relies on its defense. The Giants offense ranks in the bottom half of the league in most offensive categories, including points per game, rushing yards and total yards. Defensively, they allow the eighth-fewest points in the NFL and the fifth fewest rushing yards per game.

Odds

Spread: Dallas (-2.5)
Money line: Cowboys -161, Giants +131
Over/Under: 47.5

Because these two teams’ strengths will be going against each other, this should be an interesting matchup. In Week 1, the Giants were able to keep Elliott contained, and that will be key this time around as well. Dallas will try to get Prescott going, so the pressure on their rookie running back won’t be as great.

The spread close for a very good reason, as the two teams are relatively similar. However, expect the Cowboys to pull off a win on the road. They’ll be getting more rest, having played last against the Vikings on Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 13.

Prediction: Dallas 31 New York 27
