Oklahoma Sooners WR Dede Westbrook is a Heisman Trophy finalist and should be a top draft pick in next April’s draft. Here are five potential landing spots.

Prior to the 2015 college football season, a wide receiver from Blinn College transferred to the Oklahoma Sooners football program. Two years later, that player is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and is on the doorsteps of the National Football League. Dede Westbrook has taken the college football landscape by storm this season, and he will leave Oklahoma as one of the more decorated receivers in the history of the program.

Westbrook caught 46 balls in his first year on campus, which is a fine total by any stretch in college football. He racked up 746 yards and four touchdowns, giving Baker Mayfield a good second option in the passing game. However, Westbrook exploded in 2016, and by the time the smoke cleared, he was the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

For the season, Westbrook caught 74 passes for over 1,400 yards, leading the Sooners to a Big 12 Championship. A first team All-Big 12 selection, Westbrook broke the school single-game receiving record during the season, a 232-yard effort against Texas that broke the mark of 217 set by Ryan Broyles. Westbrook caught a touchdown pass in the last nine regular season games and went over 100 yards in eight of those contests.

On Saturday, the 6-foot receiver will find out if he won college football’s most coveted individual award, the Heisman Trophy. While he is a long shot to actually win, his senior year has brought him national attention, and he is likely to go early in next April’s NFL Draft. With that said, let’s take a look at five teams who may draft him.
