In a huge NFC East matchup, the Washington Redskins will travel to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded away a lot to get Carson Wentz in the 2016 NFL Draft, and at first, it looked like they had struck gold with the No. 2 overall selection. However, Wentz has certainly come back down to earth as of late, as teams are beginning to figure him out. He is going to be a very good NFL quarterback, but it appears he has plateaued a bit these past couple of weeks.

On the other hand, Kirk Cousins continues to put up monster numbers, and is only around 200 yards away from another 4,000-yard season. He has been very solid under center since taking over for Robert Griffin III at the beginning of the 2015 season, and has the Redskins on the doorstep of another playoff berth. Cousins is playing for a contract this season, and it looks like someone is going to pay him big money for his services next year, even if it isn’t the Redskins.

On Sunday, these two signal-callers will do battle for the season time this season, but this time, the Eagles will get to enjoy the friendly confines of their home stadium. The Redskins beat the Eagles earlier in the season, and will be looking to pick up their fifth straight win against their divisional rival on Sunday. The Redskins defense has looked awful the past few weeks, allowing 31 points to both the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.

Odds

Line: Even
Over/Under: 46.5

One of Wentz’s biggest issues has been the play of his skills guys, as his team lacks that one dominant player in the run, and pass game. Whereas the Redskins have guys like Jamison Crowder, DeSean Jackson, and Pierre Garcon on the outside, the Eagles really only have Jordan Matthews, and he is very spotty. Darren Sproles has played very well for Philadelphia this season, but he is starting to get up there in age, and can no longer be relied on to carry a team for long stretches.

This one should be able to get over that over/under mark of 46.5, as I believe both offenses are going to play well. Both units are not playing good football lately, meaning Cousins and Wentz should be able to get it going on Sunday. Cousins just has too many weapons for Wentz to keep up, and the Skins should sweep the season series with a close win inside the Linc.

Prediction: Redskins 30 Eagles 27
