Swansea face off against Sunderland in the Premier League in a bottom of the table clash. The Swans are propping up the league table while Sunderland are only two points above them in 18th place. It’s almost the midway point of the season and both of these sides will be desperate to get the three points. Sunderland have been in good form of late, winning three of their last five matches and a win would lift them out of the relegation zone. Bob Bradley’s side seemed to have turned a corner with their impressive win over Crystal Palace. They then had the misfortune of visiting Tottenham the following week, and were completely annihilated 5-0.
It’s clear that Swansea are having real trouble keeping opposing teams out and Sunderland will have to fancy their chances of coming away from Wales with all three points. After a ropey start to the season, David Moyes seems to have turned things around at Sunderland. So much so that fans of the Black Cats are probably breathing a little bit easier now. Bradley and Swansea cannot say the same. Bradley has definitely brought some much needed fire to the Swans but their performances have lacked consistency. If the Welsh side want to remain a Premier League club then they will need to turn things around sooner rather than later. A win over Sunderland could go a long way to resurrecting their season and could potentially lift them out the drop zone if results go their way.
