Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd was arrested early Monday morning, on multiple charges including DUI.
As if Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd hasn’t had a rough enough year on the field, now he’s in trouble OFF the field. Early Monday morning, he was arrested in Scottsdale shortly before 3:00 a.m. for several charges. The news was reported by Arizona Sports on their Twitter account.
Floyd was found asleep in his vehicle at an intersection, and was charged with obstructing a roadway, DUI impaired to the slightest degree, DUI with a blood-alcohol level above .08, and failure to obey a police officer. He was booked and released at 4:55 a.m.
As of Monday afternoon, Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians told reporters in a media session that the team was gathering information. He noted that he had spoken to Floyd about the situation, and they were examining their options.
"“The incident that happened this morning with Michael Floyd, gathering as much information as I can right right now on what happened and what our options are going forward. I will probably have more information on that by Wednesday. Right now, it’s way too soon to know what actually happened and what can be done.”"

Floyd is in the final year of his contract with Arizona, and statistically is having the worst year of his career this far. Through Week 14, he only has 33 catches for less than 450 yards.
