New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett made a phenomenal grab on this touchdown pass from Tom Brady against the Baltimore Ravens.

The New England Patriots are going to be just fine at tight end this time through the AFC Playoffs without Rob Gronkowski. Quarterback Tom Brady and free agent tight end Martellus Bennett are developing quite the connection in 2016.

Brady has full faith in Bennett’s ability to go up and get in it traffic. Here is Bennett exploiting his one-on-one matchup with Baltimore Ravens inside linebacker Zach Orr on Monday Night Football.

On a third and five from the Baltimore 19-yard line, Brady found the matchup he likes and put the ball right in Bennett’s wheelhouse. It wasn’t as graceful as a pass would be to Gronkowski, but this touchdown pass from Brady to Bennett looked like something they had been doing for years.

New England would take a 23-3 lead on Baltimore after the made Stephen Gostkowski PAT. It was halfway through the third quarter and it looked like this was going to be an easy win for the Patriots.

Then things started to get weird. New England would have back-to-back special teams gaffes in the return game. Rookie Cyrus Jones would muff a punt, leading to a Darren Waller touchdown pass from Joe Flacco for the Ravens.

On the ensuing kickoff, the usually reliable special teamer Matthew Slater would fumble the kickoff return. This would set up a Flacco touchdown pass to running back Kenneth Dixon. Baltimore would cut the deficit from 20 points to six in a matter of seconds.
