2017 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks rule all

And just like that, the New York Giants have one of the best defenses in football this season. Last year, the Giants defensive unit was a laughingstock, allowing tons of yards each game. The result was a 6-10 record, with head coach Tom Coughlin parting ways with the organization. This season, the Giants have raced out to a 9-4 record, and are currently a playoff team thanks to the improvement of their defense.
The Giants brought in a ton of talent this offseason on the defensive side of the ball, as they figured they were set with Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. leading the offense. While the defense has improved, the offense has been stagnant, mostly due to the fact that they have a right tackle playing left tackle. Still, they should look to continue to improve on their defense unit, as that may be the difference in a very tough NFC East.
Vanderbilt’s Zach Cunningham is one of the more athletic linebackers in this class, and he grades out to be a terrific pro player. He has incredible size and speed, and his has the arm length that can disrupt the passing and running games. Cunningham also hits with reckless abandonment, which will play well to a very defensive minded Giants fan base. He fits in perfectly to defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s system, and would give the Giants another young, talented player on the defense.
