The LA Rams will be sporting some sweet helmets come tomorrow night.

Due to the blinding, neon jerseys the Seattle Seahawks will wear tomorrow, the Los Angeles Rams will not be wearing any color rush uniforms for Thursday night’s game. This is a result of the complaints a year ago in which color blind fans were having a hard time identifying the appropriate team.

Although this may come as a disappointment for some Rams fans, the squad will not totally be without something to show off. Los Angeles will be wearing the classic blue and white horn helmets back from the Deacon Jones days:

These are really cool. This will be the third helmet design the Rams will have worn this season. Besides their normal navy and gold, the Rams have previously worn the mustard yellow and navy lids from earlier this year. All three of these helmets have to be considered some of the nicest the NFL has ever seen.

Perhaps more importantly, LA will run out on to the field with a new head football coach. Jeff Fisher was fired on Monday afternoon, and his ceiling of being just mediocre will not be missed. Special teams coordinator John Fassel has been promoted to interim head coach for the time being. Some of you may remember his last name; his father, Jim, was the old New York Giants head coach.

This is a lost season for the Rams as they’ll need to find a permanent head coach come the offseason. They can use the rest of 2016 to wisely prepare their number one draft pick, Jared Goff, for the future. Los Angeles is certainly the underdog in Seattle on Thursday, but maybe a new leader and some fresh hats could provide a spark.
