Sunderland face Chelsea at the Stadium of Light on Wednesday, Dec. 14. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Chelsea have kept a firm hold on the top spot in the Premier League table for a while now, but at their heels has been Arsenal as of late. Coming into midweek matches this week, the Gunners trailed Chelsea by a mere three points. However, the Blues now have an opportunity to further increase their lead and keep momentum moving full speed ahead. To do so, they’ll need a win in the Stadium of Light over cellar-dweilling Sunderland.

This opportunity presents itself due to Arsenal suffering a gut-punch loss to Everton on Tuesday, a result that should’ve been in favor of the Gunners, but that they allowed to slip away. Now Antonio Conte’s side will look to notch their 10th-straight Premier League victory, continuing to look dynamic and rejuvenated with the likes of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa thriving in attack. And of course, you can’t talk about Chelsea without speaking about N’Golo Kante, who has been one of the best players in the league this season after his transfer from Leicester City.

Contrary to the success of Chelsea, though, sits Sunderland at the bottom of the table. Consistently this season, David Moyes side has been a letdown. Even when things start to look up after three points, the demise seems to be looming around the corner. Jermain Defoe may have a few nice matches and goal-scoring efforts under his belt, but it’s all been for naught given their positioning. Still, they’d love to notch a huge victory over the league-leaders.
