The Los Angeles Rams were already on their way to defeat. Defensive tackle Aaron Donald hated that flag thrown in his way, so he tossed back at the ref.

2016 has not been kind to many people, but this year was absolutely brutal to the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL. The HBO Hard Knocks experiment has so far set up a 4-10 campaign for the recently relocated NFL franchise.

Down 24-3 to the rival Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, at referee at CenturyLink Field tossed a flag in the direction of Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Donald was on the ground and clearly frustrated that the flag was thrown that close to him. He picked it up and hurled back at the referee.

One could easily argue that Donald is the best player on a dysfunctional Rams team. He is so unbelievably quick and has great leverage principles at defensive tackle. Defense has not been the issue for the Rams. Los Angeles just can’t do anything on offense.

It’s been a frustrating year for the Rams. They have been eliminated from NFC Playoff contention for the 12th straight year. By losing on the road to Seattle, the Rams got to see the Seahawks clinch the NFC West crown, something the Rams haven’t done in over a decade.

It’s hard to quit on a coach that has already been fired, but the Rams put out another stinker of a football game. This perpetual 7-9 football team can’t even be that mediocre this year by securing its 10th loss of the season.

The Rams were once 3-1 on the year, but have now gone 1-9 in their last 10 games. Good news for the Rams is that they didn’t lose by 28 points this week, just by 21 to a division rival.
