J.R. Smith wore a shirt with a caption that just seems like something he would wear.

Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith has certainly become known for his antics. This famously includes him removing his shirt during the Cavs NBA Finals celebration this past summer. A running joke grew about this as fans wondered if Smith would ever wear a shirt again. He even did this at a Cleveland Indians World Series game, which sparked some hilarity too.

Well, this time around, what he did on Saturday night was all about wearing a shirt. After the Cavaliers beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 119-108, Smith got interviewed in the locker room. While reports spoke to him, he wore a shirt that said:”Cleveland… It’s Not That Bad… Have a Beer!” It’s something only someone like this 31-year-old player would wear.

That shirt is all JR Smith, as he’s one to pull off something like this. It probably got a decent reaction from the media as well since it’s just him being himself, however you may define that to be.

Through 19 games, Smith is struggling, though. He’s averaging just 8.5 points per game on 32-percent shooting. It’s despite him hitting three-pointers at a 34-percent clip. This has all come in almost 30 minutes of play per game, which hasn’t made him look efficient early on. The 2004 first round pick is a known enigma and could always go on a hot streak that boosts his numbers, getting him back on track. He could eventually end up going in line with his 12.4 points per game on 42-percent shooting from 2015-16.

JR Smith will continue to be an interesting presence for the Cavaliers as they look to go to their third consecutive NBA Finals. Smith is going to be part of the group as a starter or sixth man off the bench (if they move him there), and could play a pivotal role as the season goes on.
