Roy Williams threw a little bit of a tantrum on Saturday afternoon, and one of his own players paid the price for it

We’ve seen time and time again that in addition to North Carolina head coach Roy Williams being one of the best college basketball coaches of all-time, he’s also one of the more passionate ones that you will find. When something doesn’t go his way on the basketball court, he will most certainly have no problem letting that frustration out.

Well, this happened on Saturday again as the Tar Heels are taking on the Kentucky Wildcats, and some poor freshman paid the price for the tantrum.

In the first half on Saturday as the Tar Heels were having some issues with the Kentucky offense, to say the least, a call on the floor did not go the way that Williams would have liked. As he was going on the tirade, he decided that he was gonna let everyone know just how pissed off he was by tossing his jacket. He did this, but he also hit poor freshman Seventh Woods.

Oh come on now, Roy. WOODS DIDN’T DO ANYTHING THERE, HE WASN’T EVEN ON THE FLOOR!

But in all seriousness, Williams seemed to be in such a blind rage there that he really didn’t recognize anyone around him at the time. He was just concerned that he was getting screwed by the refs on the floor Saturday afternoon.

And given the way that things have gone for North Carolina on Saturday, you really can’t blame Williams for going on some tantrums, as they’ve been scorched by the Kentucky offense all day — with Malik Monk doing the most damage.
