Miami Beach Bowl Odds And Prediction
We are now to the part of bowl season where we have one bowl a day until Friday. Then we begin the part of multiple college football games every day. If you are a college football fan, there isn’t much better than this! Next up is the Miami Beach Bowl. That’s right. No fancy company attaching their name to this bad boy!

Central Michigan vs. Tulsa(-13.5) at Miami, FL(2):
Central Michigan(3-5, 6-6 MAC):
Wins: vs. Presbyterian(49-3), at Oklahoma State(30-27), vs. UNLV(44-21), vs. Ball State(24-21), at Northern Illinois(34-28), vs. Ohio(27-20)
Losses: at Virginia(35-49), vs. Western Michigan(10-49), at Toledo(17-31), vs. Kent State(24-27), at Miami(OH)(17-37), at Eastern Michigan(21-26)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-4
This was a very inconsistent season for the Chippewas. They have veteran leadership in QB Cooper Rush, but this defense was gouged by every good offense they played. That could be an ominous sign leading up to this game. The loss to Kent can be excused somewhat, but the Virginia loss looks pretty bad right now. If it wasn’t for the gift win over Oklahoma State, the Chippewas would likely be in frigid Michigan instead of sunny Miami.
Tulsa(9-3, 6-2 AAC):
Wins: vs. San Jose State(45-10), vs. North Carolina A&T(58-21), at Fresno State(48-41), vs. SMU(43-40), vs. Tulane(50-27), at Memphis(59-30), vs. East Carolina(45-24), at Central Florida(35-20), vs. Cincinnati(40-37)
Losses: at Ohio State(3-48), at Houston(31-38), at Navy(40-42)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-3
Tulsa has an offense that borders on elite, but a defense that is almost as bad. Dane Evans has played against really good teams in hostile territory before. This team managed to hang with Ohio State until mid way through the third quarter in Columbus.
Prediction:
This game will not be a defensive struggle. The only game in which the Tulsa defense truly looked good was against Memphis. They still gave up 30 points. Cooper Rush is a great leader that wont let his team get blown out. I expect around 90 total points in this game, but I think this margin is way too big. Tulsa still wins, but I doubt they cover
Pick: Central Michigan
