Boca Raton Bowl Odds And Prediction
We are now to the part of bowl season where we have one bowl a day until Friday. Then we begin the part of multiple college football games every day. If you are a college football fan, there isn’t much better than this! Next up is the Boca Raton Bowl. That’s right. No fancy company attaching their name to this bad boy!

You will still get my picks against the spread and point wagers just like I did all season long. I didn’t have a great regular season, but I can make it look a whole lot better with a strong bowl season! It was a decent start on Saturday, but just in case you missed any:
Gildan New Mexico Bowl
Geico Las Vegas Bowl
Raycom Camellia Bowl
AutoNation Cure Bowl
R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl
Miami Beach Bowl
Memphis vs. Western Kentucky(-6.5)(3):
Memphis(8-4, 5-3 AAC):
Wins: vs. Southeast Missouri(35-17), vs. Kansas(43-7), vs. Bowling Green(77-3), vs. Temple(34-27), at Tulane(24-14), at SMU(51-7), at Cincinnati(34-7), vs. Houston(48-44)
Losses: at Mississippi(28-48), at Navy(28-42), vs. Tulsa(30-59), vs. South Florida(42-49)
Record vs. bowl teams: 2-3
Memphis scored at least 24 points in every game this year. The loss of Paxton Lynch to the NFL didn’t hurt them much at all. Riley Ferguson proved that he can run this offense. Memphis still has a lot of weapons on offense around Ferguson. They don’t have much of a defense, which should make the Boca Raton Bowl one of the most entertaining of bowl season!
Western Kentucky(10-3, 8-1 Conference USA):
Wins: vs. Rice(46-14), at Miami(OH)(31-24), vs. Houston Baptist(50-3), at Middle Tennessee State(44-43), vs. Old Dominion(59-24), at Florida Atlantic(52-3), vs. Florida International(49-21), vs. North Texas(45-7), at Marshall(60-6), vs. Louisiana Tech(58-44)
Losses: at Alabama(10-38), vs. Vanderbilt(30-31), at Louisiana Tech(52-55)
Record vs. bowl teams: 5-3
All of Western Kentucky’s losses were to bowl teams. The Hilltoppers have not lost since October 7th. They avenged that loss in the CUSA Championship game. It seemed as though Mike White took a bit to get going, but he has so many weapons around him, that the transition was made smoothly from Brandon Doughty. Taywan Taylor is one of the best receivers you have never heard of. He could eat the Memphis secondary alive.
Prediction:
Western Kentucky is on quite a roll right now, but Memphis is not a bad team. What I do see in the Hilltoppers is a high powered offense like Tulsa or South Florida, both of whom Memphis struggled to keep up with. I definitely see 100 points on the scoreboard, but I see the Hilltoppers winning by double digits
Pick: Western Kentucky
