Tom Savage will be the Houston Texans quarterback when they play the Cincinnati Bengals in a huge Week 16 AFC matchup.

The $72 million mistake in Houston was shown the bench on Sunday, as Brock Osweiler was benched in favor of Tom Savage. Savage entered the game with the Texans trailing 14-0, and proceeded to lead them to a 21-20 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The win helped the Texans stay in a tie with the Tennessee Titans for first place in the AFC South, and with his effort, Savage earned the start this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaking of the Jacksonville Jaguars, they said goodbye to head coach Gus Bradley after the team’s ninth straight loss on Sunday. Bradley compiled a 14-48 record during his three seasons with the Jaguars, which includes a 2-12 record in 2016. The team announced that Doug Marrone will be the interim coach the rest of the way, and rumors are they are interested in bringing back Tom Coughlin to run the team next season.

It has gone from bad to worse in Denver. After the Broncos lost a tough home game against the New England Patriots, they decided to fight each other. A fight broke out in the locker room between the defensive backs and the offensive linemen, and it had to be broken up by head coach Gary Kubiak. The Broncos are likely out of the playoffs with their latest loss, and they have some work to do this offseason on the offensive side of the ball.

The NFL made the right decision on Monday, as they did not fine Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott for his celebration after scoring a touchdown during the team’s Sunday Night Football win against Tampa Bay. After scoring, Elliott jumped into the Salvation Army bin, which normally would draw a fine from the league. I guess NFL commissioner Roger Goodell was in the holiday spirit.

Finally, some college news, as Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey has decided not to play in his team’s bowl game. His plan is to skip the game to focus on the NFL Draft, which has drawn reaction from people like Ezekiel Elliott on Twitter. Elliott posted that he would love one more game with his teammates at Ohio State, even though he decided to skip his senior year to enter the NFL Draft.
