Craig Sager was known for giving famous sideline interviews, but in his last days, he gave inspiration to all while being interviewed.

Craig Sager passed away from cancer earlier this month, something that has been one of the dominant headlines recently. Sager was the rare sideline reporter who everyone wanted to be interviewed by, and his smile, good vibes, and outlandish suits made him a known entity in the sports world. Right before his death, CBS Sunday Morning did an exclusive interview with Sager in what turned out to be his last moment in the public eye. Watch it here:

Sager looked like a man who had taken the worst hits from cancer, but the smile on his face could still not be wiped away. Nor could the ridiculous blue flower suit that he wore, just after his third bone marrow transplant.

Sager mentioned that he feels that he is fighting for everyone who has fought cancer and that his attitude can inspire many around the world. Sager talked about living life to the fullest and that even in battling cancer, he was able to enjoy his last days he was able to enjoy an anniversary, as well as attend his son and daughters basketball game. The biggest quote from Sager in the interview that stood out was:

“Nobody knows how much time they have left on earth. There are no guarantees. For me, when they tell you not once, twice, three times that you have couple weeks to live or a couple months, you have to determine how you want to do that.”

Whether fighting with cancer or not, this can be an inspiring quote. Everybody has to determine how they want to live their lives moving forward and seeing a spirit such as Sager make the most of every last second is a great lead to follow.
