The Monmouth Hawks face the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Dean E. Smith Center on Wednesday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

After a long holiday break, the North Carolina Tar Heels will take over the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill, NC once again. Rather than welcoming a cupcake to town, though, they’ll be up against one of the best mid-major teams in the country, the Monmouth Hawks.

North Carolina struggled early in December without star point guard Joel Berry. Though they lost to Kentucky in his return, they are a far more dangerous team with him on the floor. He’s their best two-way player, but the Tar Heels could stand to see more consistency from the likes of Justin Jackson, Kennedy Meeks, and Isaiah Hicks. In the backcourt, Kenny Williams needs to keep showing his breakout-level performance we’ve seen flashes of.

Monmouth is no slouch, though, coming into this matchup against North Carolina with only two losses. Justin Robinson and Micah Seaborn have been big-time for this team all season. The duo averages over 31 combined points per game and has produced against high-quality competition. That’s what they’ll need to do and more on Wednesday to have a chance at toppling the Tar Heels.
