The Duke Blue Devils face the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday, December 31 at Cassell Coliseum. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Grayson Allen won’t be with the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday as they take the floor on New Year’s Eve. The star veteran guard for the Blue Devils is suspended indefinitely after yet another tripping incident. However, coach Mike Krzyzewski isn’t hurting for talent by any measure. Yet they still face a tough road test at Cassell Coliseum against the Virginia Tech Hokies.

Harry Giles is finally playing for Duke, which stands out as he was the No. 1 recruit in the country by many measures. Joining the likes of Jayson Tatum, Luke Kennard, and Amile Jefferson, this team is loaded even with Allen out of the lineup. That said, not having a leader with them and being out-of-sync could be dangerous against a tricky team like the Hokies.

Virginia Tech is a perfect 8-0 at home this season and 11-1 overall. While their strength of schedule to this point isn’t much to speak of, they’ve shown tremendous talent. Now Buzz Williams will need his star forward, Zach LeDay, to step up if they’re to have a chance of toppling Duke on Saturday to end the 2016 calendar year.

This matchup kicking off ACC play for Duke will be broadcast on ESPN2 on Saturday. Live streaming for the game is available online through WatchESPN then, of course. Access the stream through the ESPN app or online using a cable or satellite subscription to log in.

Duke and Virginia Tech each have just one loss, but the former is considered far better. While Coach K’s group may have the talent advantage, though, they need to be on their toes. Without a leader in Allen and with inexperience abound, this could be an interesting contest.
