Who will be part of the Fiesta Bowl broadcast team for Saturday night’s game between Ohio State and Clemson?

On Saturday night, the Fiesta Bowl will take place between Clemson and Ohio State with the winner advancing to the College Football Playoff National Championship game on Jan. 9. They will play whoever walks out of No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Washington victoriously. This matchup is set to take place from the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.

A crucial part of college football games is the broadcast teams. They call the action for the viewer at home and explain what’s going on, along with some analysis in between.

For the Fiesta Bowl, the top broadcast team for ESPN will be in use. Chris Fowler will do the play-by-play, Kirk Herbstreit will do color commentary, and Samantha Ponder and Tom Rinaldi are the sideline reporters.

The action being called on Saturday night should be entertaining. Ohio State and Clemson are two of the top teams in college football, and should play a fun 60 minutes to determine who advances to the title game a week later.

Ohio State made it to the College Football Playoff in 2014 and won the national championship. They did so by beating Alabama and Oregon, the No. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, from that season. Quarterback J.T. Barrett is one of the few holdovers from that team.

Clemson is back in the College Football Playoff for a second consecutive season. They lost to Alabama in the title game in January, but are bringing back players from that matchup with experience. This includes quarterback Deshaun Watson and running back Wayne Gallman. Can these two help lead the Tigers to a victory?
