On Saturday night, the Fiesta Bowl will take place between Ohio State and Clemson. The winner will move onto the College Football National Championship game on Monday, January 9. They would take on whoever walks out of No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 4 Washington victoriously. The Fiesta Bowl will take place at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.

This is Ohio State’s second College Football Playoff appearance since this system got created. They last made it in 2014, which turned out to be a title-winning year in Columbus. Both Alabama and Oregon would go down to OSU as the Buckeyes won the national championship.

One holdover from that team is J.T. Barrett, who is now the starting quarterback for Ohio State. He had led them in games in 2014, but after going down with an injury, Cardale Jones stepped in and was the signal caller during the title run.

This year’s Ohio State offense will surround around Barrett, Curtis Samuel, and Mike Weber. All are extremely athletic when running the football, and are threats at any point to score.

Clemson is making their second consecutive College Football Playoff appearance. They made it to the National Championship game this past January, but lost to Alabama in a close one.

This time around, Clemson will still have similar faces like Deshaun Watson at quarterback and Wayne Gallman at running back. Head coach Dabo Swinney is continuing to lead them as well, so the Tigers know what they’re getting into on New Year’s Eve,
