Here’s how to watch the New Year’s Eve clash between top 20 teams, Louisville and Indiana online.

This Saturday’s matchup between Louisville and Indiana features two top 20 teams, each coming off losses painful in their own way. Louisville couldn’t quite keep up with fellow ACC heavyweight Virginia on Wednesday in the KFC Yum! Center, falling behind big early and ultimately coming up short in their comeback bid. Indiana suffered yet another head-scratching early season loss, this time to Nebraska – they’ve beaten two KenPom top 6 teams in Kansas and North Carolina in their first 13 games, and dropped two games in the state of Indiana to opponents outside the top 85 (IPFW and Nebraska).

Both teams should be raring to go in a matchup of strength vs. strength (Indiana’s offense vs. Louisville’s defense), looking to avoid consecutive losses before beginning the conference season in earnest.

Louisville continues a brutal stretch of games- the game on New Year’s Eve will mark their 3rd consecutive game against an AP-ranked opponent, with a 4th to follow against Notre Dame. They’ll continue to try and prove their offense can live up to the defense, which is currently ranked #1 in adjusted efficiency on KenPom (offense is 42nd).

Quentin Snider, averaging 11.6 points per game to go with 3.7 assists, and Donovan Mitchell, contributing 11.5 PPG and 2.1 APG, will continue to lead the charge on O. One area they’ll need to improve in is on deep shooting – Mitchell (28.8%) and Snider (33.8%) are the highest volume culprits in an offense currently hitting only 32.4% of its attempts from 3 point land.

Indiana will look to tamp down its Jekyll-and-Hyde variability and put on another strong performance against a top 10 opponent. Headlined by two potential NBA lottery picks in center Thomas Bryant and wing OG Anunoby, and anchored by veteran guards James Blackmon and Robert Johnson, Indiana has scored very efficiently this season, with the 12th best adjusted efficiency per KenPom so far this season. The defense has lagged a bit behind (58th overall), but Indiana is more than capable of beating anyone on a given night.

Indiana still holds the all-time advantage, with a record of 10-7, but Rick Pitino has a career 7-4 record against the Hoosiers, having won seven of the last nine matchups. The teams last played in December of 2014.
