Bo Scarbrough carried the Alabama Crimson Tide back to the National Championship Game with a win over the Washington Huskies in the Peach Bowl.

Defense wins championships and so do bruising running backs. On Saturday, the Alabama Crimson Tide got gritty and they outlasted the Washington Huskies in absolute defensive struggle between the two teams.

The Huskies would draw first blood and would pick up plenty of momentum behind Jake Browning finding Dante Pettis for a touchdown. With Alabama seemingly struggling on offense to begin the game, that woke them up for a drive.

The would go uptempo and set themselves up for a touchdown via Bo Scarbrough, who would not go down. From there, the two offenses would be pretty quiet for the rest of the day. The Tide would get the lead on a field goal and it appeared they would go into the half with a three-point lead.

That was until Browning threw the ball right to Ryan Anderson, who picked him off and returned it for a touchdown. With a 17-7 lead at the half and Browning looking like a deer stuck in the headlights, the Tide continued to go to work shutting down anything Washington threw at them.

Finally, Scarbrough put this one away in the fourth quarter with a 68-yard touchdown run, which included him running over several tacklers. The Crimson Tide are going back to the National Championship Game and will look to defend their crown.
