Arsenal host Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, January 1st. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Arsenal lock horns with Crystal Palace on New Year’s Day. The Gunners came through the tough test that West Brom provided on Boxing Day to win 1-0 . This got them back on track after losses at Everton and Manchester City. The good thing for Arsene Wenger is that Crystal Palace are still in transition from the sacking of Alan Pardew and hiring of Sam Allardyce.  Any team managed by Sam Allardyce is going to be resilient and Arsenal will probably face a side that are set up to frustrate them. However their experience of playing West Brom at the beginning of this week should help them to win this match.
Allardyce almost managed to get three points in his first game as the Eagles’ manager but Troy Deeney spoiled the party when he finally scored his 100th goal for Watford – one he has been searching for since October. If an away trip to Watford wasn’t a good enough test a visit to the Emirates certainly will be. Crystal Palace do not have a good record against Arsenal in recent years and it would be a shock if they were to get anything out of this game. This game is almost like a freebie for Allardyce as he might not be expected to get anything out of it. Therefore he has the opportunity to try something different with his team and also analyse what he needs in the January transfer window.
