High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (12,300): Westbrook had a nice game in the Thunder’s trip to Charlotte, but his 33-15-8 (points-rebounds-assists) wasn’t quite enough as the Hornets pulled out the win. He did total 70.25 fantasy points on that line, though, which was his first game in his last four with over 61 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll have to deal with the defense of Patrick Beverley in Houston (now downgraded to questionable) where he’ll be playing his second straight game on the road. It’s impossible to totally overlook Westbrook since he can go off in any matchup, but he’s a little risky based on matchup and the fact that he is playing his third game on the road in the last four days while costing over 12K.∗∗∗

Jeff Teague-Indiana Pacers (7,400): Teague is in the best matchup that any PG can be in tonight as he faces the Nets who are giving up almost three fantasy points per game more to opposing PG than any other team in the NBA. Teague’s production has slowed down a bit lately as he battled through an ankle injury, but he was able to play 33 minutes on Tuesday against the Pistons totaling 32.75 fantasy points on 17-3-8.∗∗

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (7,200): Holiday has been playing at a high level lately even though his scoring has trailed behind a little. He has at least nine assists in six of his last seven games, so he has been able to produce 28+ fantasy points in seven straight even though he has scored 12 points or fewer in each of his last four. On Monday, he had 11-4-13 with three steals against the Cavs for 42 fantasy points after 12-4-11 with two blocks for 40.5 fantasy points;ast Friday against the Knicks. He’s in a great matchup tonight against the Hawks who allow the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG, and he should be set up for another good game tonight. He could go off if he keeps his assists high while also increasing his scoring.∗∗∗∗

Reggie Jackson-Detroit Pistons (6,700): Jackson has been picking up his play lately and has scored 20 points in three straight games including on Tuesday when he had 20-7-12 for his second double-double of the year both coming in matchups against Jeff Teague and the Pacers. He finished that game with 52.25 fantasy points and has over 35 fantasy points in three straight.

Tongiht, R-Jax won’t be taking on Indiana, but he does catch the Hornets and Kemba Walker on their second night of a back-to-back after chasing Russell Westbrook all over Charlotte last night. Jackson has over 34 fantasy points in three straight, and I think he has a very good chance at over performing his salary again tonight.∗∗∗∗
