Earl Thomas is extremely salty towards Tom Brady, says he has ‘easiest route’
By David Rouben
After the New England Patriots advanced to another Championship Game, Earl Thomas criticized Tom Brady for playing in the AFC East.
The New England Patriots are arguably the greatest dynasty of the salary cap era in any sport. In beating the Houston Texans, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick advanced to their sixth straight AFC Championship Game, while a Super Bowl win this year would give Brady his fifth ring, which would be more than every team except the Pittsburgh Steelers.
There’s no denying Brady’s greatness at this point, but there are still some people who refuse to accept it. You’d think that crowd would be reduced to a small group of Internet trolls, but Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas is also part of that crowd. A big measure of Brady and Belichick’s success is that they’ve won the AFC East in all but one year together, but Thomas is far from impressed with that accomplishment:
As far as easy divisions go, though, Thomas should hardly be one to complain. The Seahawks were the only respectable team in the NFC West this year, and they usually win it without any resistance. The only real team that poses a threat to them is the Arizona Cardinals.
Of course, the rest of Twitter viewed Thomas’ criticism of Brady as nothing but sour grapes. One fan in particular decided to show off one of his “highlights” from their Super Bowl meeting:
And he responded by saying he owned Brady in a regular season game… hardly comparable if you ask me:
Earl Thomas endured a rough end to the season when he suffered a broken tibia against the Carolina Panthers. But any compassion he may have received from Patriots fans likely went out the window after this tweet storm. The fact is that the Seahawks could’ve been a dynasty to rival the Patriots’, but after they lost to them in the Super Bowl, everything fell apart.

The first thing Thomas should do after his team got eliminated from the playoffs is to support his teammates like Pete Carroll did, not go after the Patriots. Hopefully, this is the first and last time we see something like this from Earl.
