A variety of new content will be coming in Battlefield 1’s first expansion pack, They Shall Not Pass.

Battlefield 1 is one of the best shooters of 2016, and EA plans on supporting it for years to come. This game is huge in scope and there’s so much that they can do with it simply because of how big it is and how many people play it.

The first expansion pack, They Shall Not Pass, will bring a variety of new content to Battlefield 1. It will take inspiration from the French army during World War I.

The French army led the beginning of tank warfare during WWI. In this new expansion pack, players will be able to engage in chaotic tank battles via the largest French tank assault of the Great War.

Players will also be able to control a number of new weapons, drive around in new vehicles and play through new maps and modes.

To go more in depth, let’s talk about the playable maps. One map is Verdun Heights. Described as one of the opening battles, the Battle of Verdun, this created massive forest fires and players will fight for domination.

Next is Fort Vaux. This was the first big fight during WW1 in a fort. It’s very dark, and it’s also described as a maze. That means players will have to find and maneuver their way around the map in order to win. It’s also very important to watch every corner.

Soissons is the map where the biggest tank assaults happened during WW1. The French army utilized their powerful Saint Chamond tanks, but there’s also rooms for planes and other ways to go to war.

Finally, there’s Rupture. The new map looks mostly calm, but everything is not what it seems, especially during war. It has many places to set up and get ready for attacks.

The new game mode is Frontlines. Think of it as a mix of Conquest and Rush. You get the best of both worlds.
