Who’s ready for more NBA FanDuel?  After taking yesterday off and I’m ready to get back to it!  We have 5 games on the main slate today which doesn’t lock until 7:30 pm EST.  The highest total on the board is Brooklyn at Miami which has a total of 217.5, this will likely be the popular game to target, and rightly so.  The Nets are just awful and give up a ton of fantasy points to all positions.  The biggest question when taking players against the Nets will be whether or not the game blows out, today the Heat are a 9 point favorite which should get most starters midway through the 4th quarter.

On slates with less than 6 games I generally go lighter on the amount I play and I also play more GPP’s and less Cash Games.  I will spend about 50% of my bankroll on GPP’s and 50% on cash games (50/50’s) today.  As always I will give you who I’m willing to spend up for and who I’m fading in GPP’s, my cash game lock, the top GPP value play, and my overall top play of the night, The Paymaker.  As always stay tuned to guys being ruled out when it gets closer to lock, the NBA is downright brutal at times with late scratches which can destroy your teams if you fail to get your lineup changed in time.  Let’s take a look at who I’m rolling with today.

NBA FanDuel – Top GPP Target and Player to Fade

Karl Anthony Towns $10,900

The center position is loaded with great match ups today.  In my main GPP lineup I will be spending up for Towns.  He has been going off lately and has really taken his game to an elite level.  He has scored over 50 fantasy points in 4 of his last 5 games and draws the 27th ranked defense against centers tonight.  The total in this game is 210.5 with the Wolves favored by 8.5.  I think Orlando has a chance to keep this one close until late and if that happens I think KAT approaches 60 FP tonight.  There is enough value in other positions to fit him in your lineups and have 1 or two other high-priced players.

Eric Bledsoe $9,600

Bledsoe has scored over 60 FP in 2 of his last 4 games, but in his other games he failed to reach 40 FP’s.  He is in a tough spot today in a paced down match-up with the Memphis Grizzlies who rank 8th in defending the PG position.  The total in this game is 209 with Memphis favored by 4 points.  There are much better match-ups for guys like Dragic, Irving, and Thomas that make Bledsoe someone I will be staying away from.  Now let’s take a look at my Cash Game lock and tourney value play.

NBA FanDuel – Cash Game Lock and GPP Value Play

LeBron James $10,500

The Cavs are on the road in Dallas tonight to take on the Mavericks.  They will be without Kevin Love which gives a boost to both James and Kyrie Irving.  The total on this game is at 208 with the Cavs favored by 4 points.  James averages 47.74 FanDuel points per game and with Love out we should see James have a solid line above 50 FP’s.  He is a tad pricey and does lack a little upside with this price, but his floor tonight gives me confidence in rostering him in my cash games.  I will be locking him in and building around him tonight.

Seth Curry $4,300

Curry is coming off a monster game yesterday.  He put up 43.5 FDP against the San Antonio Spurs and crushed his price tag to the tune of 10x.  He gets an even better match-up today against the Cavs and with Deron Williams already ruled out Curry will see a ton of minutes again.  The Cavs rank 25th against both point guard and shooting guard and with the Mavs lacking bodies in the back court Curry is my main cheap target to save some money to help other high priced guys fit.  He will definitely be in my main GPP linuep and will also find his way to my cash game lineup as well.  I’m not sure he will hit 10x again, but I think his floor is 30 tonight which will be close to 7x.  Now let’s take a look at tonight’s PayMaker.

NBA FanDuel – Top PayMaker

Kyrie Irving $8,600

Yet another player from this game makes my list today.  Despite the Mavs ranking #1 against opposing PG’s I’m going to have a ton of Irving tonight.  Anytime one of the big 3 is out for the Cavs the other two seem to step up and pick up the slack.  We already know Love has been ruled out so I fully expect Irving to be the man tonight.

More from FanSided

Over his last 5 games he has scored 42.8 FP’s or more in 4 of them.  His highest output in that stretch was 63.4 against the Pelicans in which he had 49 actual points.  I think he reaches that 40 point plateau today and with his price on this short slate that works great for me.  I think the Mavs will find a way to keep this one close and as we already mentioned Vegas thinks so too.

The way this slate is shaping up tonight it’s going to be easy to fit 2 or 3 high-priced guys in your lineup and pair them up with some good value options.  Power Forward is extremely cheap across the board as is shooting guard.  At PG spending up is almost a must because of the lack of value plays at that position.  No one under Elfrid Payton is going to be worth rostering today.

At Center you have a ton of options you could use if you choose to not spend up on KAT.  Brook Lopez is in a great spot tonight and has really been the only offense for the Nets.  If you go cheap at Center you could look to Tristan Thompson who is only $4,900 and should see a slight bump with Love out.  The Mavs are not a very good rebounding team and I can see a double-double for Thompson tonight.  Good luck!
