Michigan Wolverines

What lengths won’t Jim Harbaugh go to so to make sure that he lands a recruit. While the viral stories have been calmer this go-round in recruiting, the Michigan Wolverines were still sitting pretty as they approached National Signing Day. Already with the No. 4 class in the country entering Wednesday, they further improved their class, even if they dropped to No. 5. That drop was largely just because of other programs doing ridiculously big things on NSD rather than anything Michigan did. Here’s how their class shook out.

Obviously having a recruit the caliber of Donovan Peoples-Jones is a big stepping stone to start with when building a solid class. However, the Wolverines were able to get even stronger with another five-star addition, Aubrey Solomon. One year removed from landing Rashan Gary, the Wolverines now have another beast up front on their defense that could provide a formidable punch up the middle for at least the next couple of seasons.

Even if they miss out on those guys, though, things are still looking up for Michigan. They have skill position and in the trenches filled throughout this class while also potentially getting a starting quarterback in Dylan McCaffrey—brother of Christian. Considering that you could argue they were a playmaking quarterback away from a title one season ago, that alone could make this class a win for Michigan.
