Lane Kiffin and FAU put out one of the worst promotional videos that you will ever see, but apparently it was meant to be that way

On Tuesday, an FAU promotional video for season ticket holders starting making its way around the internet, and boy did it get everyone talking. However, it didn’t get everyone talking in a positive manner, which is really the purpose of a promotional video.

You see, the video primarily featured new Owls head coach, the notorious Lane Kiffin. You’d expect their new, young head coach to be overly enthusiastic about his new gig in the video. But he came across as anything but. In actuality, it appeared as if he never really accepted the FAU job, rather they were holding him hostage in Boca Raton.

During National Signing Day on Wednesday Kiffin was asked about the horrid attempt at promotion and … SURPRISE! It was supposed to be that way.

Well, or so he claimed.

Okay, if we take the explanation right off the surface here then I guess the former Alabama offensive coordinator is right, I guess? I mean, when it comes down to it, it did generate some attention for he and the Owls as they begin this new marriage with one another.

On the other hand, though … yeah, I’m not buying it at all. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say Kiffin wanted nothing to do with this video at all whatsoever, and for some reason maybe he didn’t think that many people would see it.

The Lane Kiffin-FAU era certainly is off to a rousing start, though. You gotta give them that. Even if it is solely for our entertainment.
