It seems that every new day we are now stunned by headlines that seem ripped from a dystopian science fiction novel. Headlines such as: “Miami Heat win 9th straight” and “Dion Waiters named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.”
In addition to these inflammatory headlines, the news from around the league has been turned upside down. The Philadelphia 76ers are good while the Cleveland Cavaliers are stumbling? The Toronto Raptors have lost seven of their last 10 while the Dallas Mavericks have won seven of 10? The Charlotte Hornets may never win again?
