National Signing Day has come and gone and here are the five guys who stand out with major No. 1 NFL Draft pick potential.

Just as fast as the day started, National Signing Day is officially over. Top recruits such as Aubrey Solomon, Marvin Williams and LaBryan Ray made their announcements on Wednesday morning and afternoon as the event has really taken off over the past couple of years.

Levi Jones, one of the nation’s top linebackers, even decided to troll a couple of schools with his selection, taking off his coat, unveiling a Florida t-shirt. He revealed a shirt underneath that was Florida State and before Seminoles’ fans were celebrating, he had one more shirt, a USC one, to show the world. He picked the Trojans.

No one should be surprised with the monster that has become National Signing Day and recruiting is taking on a form of its own. Is it too early to name the biggest stars of the class? Maybe, it’s easier to evaluate them as NFL talents a couple years down the line, but we decided to do a way-too-early potential No. 1 NFL Draft picks list.

Here are the five guys who exhibit serious No. 1 overall potential.

Aubrey Solomon

  • High School: Lee County (Leesburg, Ga.)

The ceiling for five-star defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon is high. The nation’s second-best defensive tackle is joining a young, potent defensive line in Ann Arbor after he picked the Wolverines on Wednesday morning.

Rashan Gary, the nation’s No. 1 defensive tackle and overall recruit, committed in 2016 on National Signing Day and the interior of that defensive line is going to be scary. Imagine a group with those two up front and some high-level recruits at the end positions. There’s not one single guy to key on, which will make Solomon such a force.

The big defensive tackle just towers over opponents and judging by his film, it’ll take constant double-teams to slow him down. Sending a blitzing linebacker will wreak havoc on opposing offenses with him and Gary up the middle.

Solomon stands 6-foot-4, 290 pounds and looks the part of a future NFL star and potential No. 1 overall pick. The Army All-American is going to be a nightmare to block.
